KOCO'S PLACE: "The Home of Koco Koala & Friends!"

Off they went on their journey. They walked through the
forest and headed toward the swamplands.

“Hey, you guys, I remember something!” said Cam. “I
remember that they used to call my swamp the Crocodile
Crock Swamp! I know the name of my swamp, and now we
know what swamp to look for,” Cam said excitedly.

As Cam finished speaking, Koco began yelling; he threw
his hands in the air and yelled, “DID YOU SAY THE
CROCODILE CROCK SWAMP? Oh Cam, dear ol’ mate,
you didn’t just say the CROCODILE CROCK SWAMP did
you? Please tell me, Cam, that that’s not what you said,”
yelled Koco, as Wally stood shaking in fear with his teeth
rattling.

“I sure did. That’s my home, that’s the name of the
swamp where I came from. That’s where my mama is; I
want to find her, Koco!” said Cam. “Don’t you think it’s
great that I know where I come from?” he said with a big,
warm, crocodile smile.

“Are you outta your fish-nibbling mind, Cam? Listen,
mate, where we come from that swamp is off-limits; we
can’t go anywhere near that place. We have heard the
stories about that place and we call it the Crock Pot
Swamp. Do you know what they do to guys like us there,
Cam, do ya, huh, do ya?” Koco said out of breath.

“Uh…Uh, no, whatta they do?” said Cam.

“Well, mate, I’ll make this short and sweet. What they
do is clamp down them big, beautiful, crocodile jaws on
us, and then make a fine tasty dinner out of us, in the old
Crock Pot Swamp. Yup, that’s what they do, Cam… yup,
that’s sure what they do. As for me, I don’t want to be
anybody’s dinner,” replied Koco.

Cam was speechless. He just stood there with his huge
jaws hanging to the ground. Sadness filled his face, and
his big blue eyes brimmed with crocodile tears that
splashed down his face and onto Koco and Wally. Finally
he said, “This is awful, just awful, I just don’t know what
to say or do. I want to be your friend and go together, but
I won’t put you guys in any danger…no way, mates. I don’t
know what I’m gonna do. I can’t go off without you, ’cause
I don’t know which way to go. How will I get home if you
can’t come with me? How can you take me, if there is
danger there for you? What are we gonna do?” Cam said
looking very concerned.

“Wait, I have an idea!” said Koco as he looked at Wally.
“Since Cam, our dear mate, is from the Crock Pot Swamp,
he could be our way in. He could be our protection from
his croc kin. They’ll all be so glad to see him that they’ll be
hoppin’ glad that we brought him back. He can pave the
way for us. Well, mates, whatta ya think? Should we try it?
Think about it, boys, Cam’s croc family wouldn’t eat
Cam’s friends; no, mates, they would never do that. Would
they, Cam?” said Koco.
